Our Story

Preserving Dignity, Legacy, and Remembrance.

Born from a deep respect for our heritage and the quiet dignity of the cowboy spirit, our foundation was established to ensure no family has to face the burden of Alzheimer’s alone.

The Story Behind The Foundation

When Alzheimer’s begins to steal memories, it leaves behind a profound emotional and financial toll on the families who stand by their loved ones.

The El Cowboy Alzheimer’s Foundation was created out of our fathers journey. We watched a strong, proud father figure—known to many as “El Cowboy”—slowly lose his memories to this relentless disease.

But we also discovered the healing power of music and the importance of honouring a life well-lived, powered by our community. Today, we stand beside other families, offering a steady hand in times of grief and ensuring that every individual is remembered with the dignity they deserve.

A Tribute

Who Was "El Cowboy"?

"He wore his hat with pride, loved with his whole heart, and fought Alzheimer's with the dignity of a true cowboy."

"He wore his hat with pride, loved with his whole heart, and fought Alzheimer's with the dignity of a true cowboy." Mario Alberto Perez Sr., affectionately known as "El Cowboy," was a man defined by his unwavering strength, quiet grace, and deep love for his family and heritage. His legacy is the heartbeat of this foundation—a reminder that even when memories fade, the impact of a life lived with honor remains forever.

La Serenata Eterna

In our culture, music carries the soul. A mariachi serenata is more than a performance—it is a prayer, a celebration, and a final embrace.

“The Eternal Serenade” represents our commitment to honouring loved ones in the exact way they lived: surrounded by family, love, and the beautiful traditions that define our heritage. It is our way of ensuring that their song never truly ends.
